Accreditation Program Support

Program Resource Specialist

NAEYC is seeking a Program Resource Specialist to support the work of our accreditation system for program for young children through the development and maintenance of on-line information resources.  Duties include coordinating with staff within the NAEYC Academy and the Program Support departments to maintain The On-line Resource Center Headquarters (TORCH) website, managing the on-line resources and ensuring that information available to the public is conveyed in a consistent reliable and user-friendly manner and providing technical assistance about the accreditation process, policies and procedures to customers and the general public in the NAEYC’s Information Center.

Must have a minimum of a B.A. degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Organizational Development or a related field.  1-2 years customer service experience and 1-2 years work experience in the field of early childhood or a related field, knowledge of accreditation systems (preferably NAEYC’s), excellent MS Office Suite  and database management skills are required. Experience in editing and maintaining content management systems is a plus.  Salary mid-$40’s with good benefits.

Program Support Coordinator

NAEYC is seeking a Program Support Coordinator to support the work of our accreditation system for program for young children to coordinate our scholarship fund for programs engaged in NAEYC Accreditation.  Duties include reviewing and tracking scholarship applications and funds, corresponding with programs, tracking grant funds, preparing reports, coordinating activities for our Communities of Quality including outreach, maintaining records and databases and providing logistical support for trainings, meetings and conference calls.

NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation

Accreditation Coordinator(s)

NAEYC is seeking two Accreditation Coordinators to support the work of our Accreditation System. Responsibilities include working with program administrators, assessors and decision makers throughout all aspects of the accreditation process. Coordinators will review materials submitted to identify any procedural errors and measure program compliance with our standards and monitor the performance of assessors to ensure reliability is maintained in all assessment procedures and protocols, while providing support to assessors in their role.

BA in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, experience in the field of early childhood education and a sound understanding of its practices is required. Experience with high quality programming and NAEYC accreditation is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, MS Office and database skills are required. Must be able to meet deadlines, work in a team and in a fast-paced environment. Some travel may be required. Salary $37K with good benefits. Compliance Manager

NAEYC is seeking a Compliance Manager for the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation’s Program Monitoring department.  The manager is responsible for overseeing the Self-Report and Annual-Report processes for NAEYC Accredited Programs serving young children.  Responsibilities also include the orienting, supervision and support of a team of Program Monitoring coordinators who ensure compliance with accreditation requirements. 

Minimum of a BA degree in Early Childhood, Human Development, Human Services, Business Administration or Non-profit Management.  Master's degree in related field highly valued.  Minimum of five years' experience with child care quality improvement programs, and/or accreditation systems.  Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to create high-quality training documents and the ability to write clear and concise documents for internal and external audiences.  Have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to show discretion and judgment in communication of sensitive and/or confidential information.  Be able to create and monitor procedures and organizational chain of communications.  Demonstrate information technology skills and understand how to utilize technology to manage information.  Must be able to manage competing demands and shifting timelines and priorities in a team-based, collaborative environment.  Salary low $50’s with good benefits.
